The Classic Series is designed for long range reliability for families who want the advantages of comfortable cruising, style and speed at a relaxed pace.

The 59 Symbol Classic Hull # 24 is available for your inspection, now docked in Annapolis.

OVERVIEW
As you approach, the NEW elegant Jack W. Sarin N.A. designed 59/55 Symbol Classic Pilothouse you will understand why Jack’s reputation is worldwide. The distinctive exterior styling of the new 59/55 Symbol Classic features traditional lines, wrap around Portuguese bridge, wide covered side decks, wide body FLYBRIDGE and wide salon windows, all designed with practicality in mind. What you cannot see is an easily driven modified “V” hull designed for economical cruising, deep keel to protect props and provide directional stability. Underwater exhaust system should insure that the boat is relatively quiet and free from trailing exhaust fumes.

As you enter the cockpit you will notice the size of the cockpit and saloon areas have been balanced to provide the maximum space to both. A few steps up from the salon is the Pilothouse with a commanding view, large  dinette, well designed galley, comfortable helm seat and doors Port & STBD for safe access to decks.

A convenient stairway, open to the saloon, from the pilothouse takes you up to the FLYBRIDGE featuring a settee and dinette, two helm seats, custom table, boat deck and outdoor galley with Panini grill, combo ref/ice maker, sink and storage.

From the Pilothouse, a curved stairway takes you below to the staterooms, heads with large shower stalls and  washer/dryer. Through out this yacht you will notice the excellent joinery, matched grain interior and the meticulous finish that Symbol is known for.

The windows in the saloon are positioned to give maximum light and perfect sight lines, for both sitting and standing and have been carefully laid out to eliminate straining of the neck or ducking of the head to see out. RAISED PILOTHOUSE

The Pilothouse has great visibility and is the center of activity when cruising or at rest. Port and STBD doors lead to side decks for safe access, protected by a Portuguese bridge with storage, high bulwarks capped with 1-1/4" S/S hand rails and forward seating. We have tried to keep an open feeling in the pilothouse area by utilizing an open stairway to the fly bridge and space above counter top open to the salon. Not all of our competitors have a pilothouse stairway to access the flybridge, only a stairway from cockpit-this is inconvenient when changing stations. The pilothouse features a “U” shaped galley, raised dinette, storage below and comfortable helmseat. Pilothouse and FLYBRIDGE include electronics by  ICOM, Furuno and SIMRAD.

Standard with our 55 EuroClassic are Glendinning controls with a complete back up processor for the lower station. Also from Glendinning is an optional wired hand held remote control that can be plugged either forward or aft giving the captain complete control of thrusters and throttles.

The fly bridge is designed for additional space by extending the bulkheads to the outboard edge of the overhang. This improved design provides more seating and fly bridge entertaining area. DECK AND HULL
Hull and deck designed by world renowned Jack W. Sarin Naval Architects. The underwater exhaust system should insure that the boat is relatively quiet keeping noise and vibration low and free from trailing exhaust fumes. The S/S rudders are foil shaped and sized to insure good tracking and responsive turning ability at both low and high speeds. The long keel provides protection for propellers, longitudinal strength and directional stability.

As all Symbol models the hull is solid laminate on the keel and bottom up to the chine and the cored with cross-linked PVC foam. The entire hull is strengthened with web frames and molded FRP stiffeners. Prop pockets reduce draft and shaft angle for improved performance.

Wide covered side decks and Portuguese bridge provide a safe walk way on main deck. High bulwarks capped with custom S/S 1-1/4" hand rails on Portuguese bridge, side decks and cockpit for added safety.

Aft of the Portuguese bridge under the pilothouse windshield there is a custom molded in settee for your guest to relax with the protection of the Portuguese bulwarks with hand rails - see photo of forward settee. We now have three exterior and two interior areas for seating versatility and on-board entertaining. Sunbrella fabric on outside cushions with Sunbrella custom covers.
