As you approach the elegant low profile Jack W. Sarin N.A. designed 66 Symbol Pilothouse you will understand why Jack’s excellent reputation is worldwide. The distinctive exterior styling of the 66 Symbol features contemporary lines, wide side decks, wide FLYBRIDGE and large saloon windows, all designed with your practicality in mind. What you cannot see is an easily driven modified “V” hull designed for economical cruising and keel to protect props and provide directional stability. Underwater exhaust system insures that the boat is relatively quiet and free from trailing exhaust fumes. As you enter the cockpit you will notice the spacious cockpit and saloon areas have been balanced to provide you the maximum space to both. A few steps up from the spacious saloon is the Pilothouse, designed for serious navigation with a commanding view, large dining area, well equipped galley, comfortable top quality helm seat and weather tight doors port & STBD for your quick access to decks. A convenient stairway from the pilothouse takes you up to your FLYBRIDGE featuring two settees, two helm seats, custom table and boat deck. The fly bridge also features an outdoor galley with Panini grill, combo ref/ice maker, sink and storage. The cockpit also has an access to the FLYBRIDGE and boat deck. From the Pilothouse there is a stairway forward to the spacious staterooms, heads with large shower stalls and separate washer/dryer. The windows in the saloon are positioned to give maximum light inside the boat with good sight lines for both sitting and standing have been carefully laid out to eliminate straining of the neck or ducking of the head to see out. Huge saloon for family entertaining includes a long "L" shaped lounge to STBD with extra cabinet storage forward. Forward storage cabinet includes 42" LCD HDTV with an "Aritex" lift, premium home theater surround sound system and storage. We can make changes to the interior plan.

RAISED PILOTHOUSE
The Pilothouse has great visibility and is the center of activity when cruising or at rest. Port and STBD weather tight doors lead to side decks for quick access with mirror polished 316 S/S 1-1/4" hand rails on forward deck. To keep an open feeling the pilothouse area utilizes an open stairway and opening above galley into the pilothouse. The pilothouse has an interior pilothouse stairway to with a water tight hinged door, this is convenient/safe way to change stations. The pilothouse features a “U” shaped galley and raised dining area with storage under. Pilothouse and FLYBRIDGE include electronics by "FURUNO", "ICOM" and "SIMRAD"-top quality electronics with great factory service. For your ease of control this 59 Classic includes "Glendinning" controls with extra back up processor for redundancy. Also included from "Glendinning" is a wired hand held remote control that can be plugged in either forward or aft giving the captain complete control of thrusters, gears and throttles make backing into even a tight slip a one person operation. Galley up plan the counter top is "U" shaped, located in the pilothouse convenient to serve saloon & . Large dining area with teak custom folding and sliding table top. Storage above counter tops, under dinette, under sink and stove top with four deep drawers outboard of dishwasher. Under counter drawer AC/DC refrigeration/freezer for extra counter space. An upright refrigerator is available. Also included is a "Vitrifrigo" 4 cu ft AC/DC marine freezer in the lazarette adding freezer capacity for your extended cruising trips. A "U-Line Combo" ice maker/refrigerator on the fly bridge will supply you plenty of ice when entertaining and extra refrigeration space for cold drinks. FLY BRIDGE
The expansive wide fly bridge, accessible both from a pilothouse stairway and cockpit ladder, provides a comfortable area for both lounging and running the boat. The helm area is raised giving an excellent sight line and outboard standing space is provided to port and starboard improving the captains view when docking. The fly bridge was designed Fly bridge seating features two high back helm seats, two settees with storage under and dining table with S/S pedestal. DECK & HULL
Symbol Yachts major hull structure lamination has flexural and tensile strength meeting the ABS "Guide for Building and Classing Motor Pleasure Yachts, 2000" requirement. Symbol Yacht Co. includes a 5 year hull structural warranty. Hull and deck designed by world renowned naval architect Jack W. Sarin. Symbol underwater exhaust system should insure that the boat is relatively quiet keeping noise and vibration low and free from trailing exhaust fumes. 304 S/S rudders are foil shaped and sized to insure good tracking and responsive turning ability at both low and high speeds. The keel provides protection for propellers, longitudinal strength and directional stability. All Symbol hulls are solid laminate from keel to W.L. and cored with (Corecell A 500)cross-linked PVC foam above W.L. In addition the entire hull is strengthened with web frames and molded FRP stiffeners. Prop pockets reduce draft and shaft angle to approx 10 degrees for improved performance. Decks are core with closed cell foam (Corecell T 500), molded with a diamond non-skid pattern then coated with Awlgrip with Griptex for maximum safety. Non-skid color is Symbol beige-standard feature. Deck and hull are laminated with multiple layers of fiberglass becoming integrated-labor intensive but stronger. This 66 Symbol Pilothouse is built on a moderate V-hull with keel for better handling at all speeds, best performance and best fuel efficiency at all speeds.

Electronics Package includes four of the New "Furuno NAVnet" 3D systems. This revolutionary system is designed to provide owners of large yachts with a total overview of their surroundings and complete control of the vessel. NAVnet 3D is designed with a user-friendly scalable operating environment accommodating new boaters as well as experienced navigators. It lets you customize how much or how little control you have over the system. Displays include-Chart/Photo, Radar, 3D, Video/Film and Split Screen. For redundancy there are four NAVnet units, each one can operate separately.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Symbol custom electrical service will include both 24v/DC panel and 12v/DC panel for 12v equipment. Shore power is 250/125v AC for more efficient operation of A/C units, HWH, cook top and Panini Grill. A 30 amp 120v/AC inlet and 50 amp 125/250v/AC are available depending on dockside service. A custom enclosed AC selection panel for outlet choice as required. "Charles" voltage-boosting isolation transformer, which senses low voltage from shore and boosts it as required. "Charles" isolation transformer on both 30 and 50 amp incoming lines provide the best protection from shore side hazards, eliminates worries of galvanic corrosion and polarity issues. Symbol custom back lit electrical panel for easy night viewing with digital voltage and amperage read out gauges by "Blue Seas". The electrical panels have doors to protect from accidental tripping of circuit breakers. Fuses, circuit breakers, wiring and other components are labeled/color coded for easy identification. A red LED light is on when the circuit breaker is on for quick identification. Quality electrical fixtures aboard this 66 Symbol Classic are LEDs, the latest in power-saving technology. Thoughtful touches include both 12v and 120v power outlets at the helm for recharging cell phones or handheld VHF radios. ENGINE ROOM
Even with our low profile design we have stand up headroom in the engine room. The engine room is accessed from the cockpit thru a door in the lower section of the companionway stairs to fly bridge Proven "Cummins" QSM-11 715 HP Quantum Engine Series engines were chosen because of the engines' excellent long term reliability record. The 715 HP engines will provide a good combination of range and speed. We will include the "Cummins" 6 year extended warranty at time of purchase. To insure there will be no damage to the engine when running at low RPM, Cummins QSM-11 includes an oil thermostat that regulates oil temperature. Economical Cruising this Jack Sarin hull design can economically cruise at slower speeds to have the range of slower displacement boats when needed or a top speed of approx 20 kts when needed. The 715 HP "Cummins" engines will deliver total propulsion control, instant diagnostics display, improved fuel economy and Cummins covers the waterfront with certified marine service centers around the globe. "Onan/Cummins" generator was chosen because of the "Cummins" 1,500 global service centers around the world. The fiberglass fuel tanks are forward and athwart-ship to isolate the master stateroom from engine room noise and to improve trim. Nibral propellers are made for Symbol by ZF-FPS using advanced technology. At ZF-FPS, a 4-axis machine center system is inter-graded with the CAD-CAM software and machines a propeller from a solid ingot of nickel, bronze and aluminum - providing for an incomparably smooth ride.

SYSTEMS & EQUIPMENT
To reduce thru hull fittings Symbol Yacht Company has installed P & S drain manifolds for A/C pumps, shower sump pumps, sinks, bilge pumps and deck drains. The manifolds quietly empty aft under the swim platform. Frame less windows reduce maintenance, eliminate leaks and provide a clean look. Our cruise package includes "Wesmar" stabilizers. "Wesmar's stabilizers save fuel by removing the wave induced yaw and by creating lift to reduce vessel hull surface contact with the water, which in turn reduces friction-induced drag. They are proven to increase speed at equal RPM." S/S (shaft supports) V-struts were designed to allow the maximum amount of clean water to propellers for best performance.

DESIGNERS COMMENTS: The new SYMBOL 66' PILOTHOUSE hull was designed to be easily driven, incorporating a hollow half-angle of entry at the design waterline. Maximized bottom sections forward minimize impact loading, full length, inset spray-knockers reduce waterline beam, and moderate Deadrise in the aft sections adds sea-kindliness as well as maximum speed potential. Designed specifically for owners to operate by themselves, the space planning of the yacht features a blend of generous interior accommodations with full walk around side decks for ease of line handling while docking, a modest size aft deck, and integral swim step. Special emphasis was placed on the raised pilothouse area as an observation and conversational area as well as one for navigation. With the use of all composite fiberglass cored construction, every effort was made to design a "state of the art" product resulting in a combination of high strength and low weight. The hull and deck house will be carefully engineered by using modern methods and materials. The hull will be cored with impact resistant linear foam both in the hull topsides and bottom. Hull reinforcement will consist of longitudinal fiberglass "hat-section" stringers laid up over foam cores which will be in-turn supported by foam cored, fiberglass primary structural bulkheads, and transverse fiberglass web frames. The deck house and exterior decks will be foam cored fiberglass, supported by hat section stiffeners. The propellers will be fitted within shallow tunnels in the hull bottom in order to minimize draft while enhancing performance. The tunnels allow the running gear to be installed at a low shaft angle, and manipulate the water flow to improve flow into the propellers. By carefully designing the exit of the tunnel at the transom, they can also provide a large amount of hydrodynamic lift, which helps the hull run at its optimum trim angle. JACK W. SARIN, N.A.
